After the, "kiss the bride" moment, and being introduced as husband and wife, the newly married couple walk back up the aisle holding hands and looking ecstatic after having been announced just married. Charlottesville is a premier wedding destination for many engaged couples, and its no wonder with the bounty of vineyards available, as well as other outdoor venues for wedding ceremonies taking place outdoors. Montfair Resort Farms is one such place where wedding couples can recite their nuptials and exchange vows with the Blue Ridge Mountains as their backdrop, underneath a birch arch adorned with beautiful wedding flowers. The bride is wearing a strapless, fitted satin gown with lace overlay embedded with crystals, and a short train. A tulle fascinator completes the wedding ensemble in lieu of a traditional veil. The groom wore tuxedo slacks with shirt and vest, without jacket, as the unseasonably hot October weather would have been stifling. The guests sat in chairs on the grass to observe the ceremony, and afterwards made their way to the main cabin with tented deck for the wedding reception.
